The show will now see a young child artist, Arna Sharma joining the cast along with Priya Bathija, Ankur Nayyar and Zohaib Siddiqui.

According to the new storyline, Arna will essay the role of Aditya (Dishank Arora) and Meethi’s (Nidhi Uttam) five year old daughter, Pari. She would also be called Panauti (bad luck) by Laado, the revamped avatar of Kalavati (Vishwajeet Pradhan).

Also we now learn that Viraf Patel’s character Mrutyunjay would now be called Billu. The child will be seen staying with him and Laado.

When we buzzed Arna for more information she was busy getting dressed for her scenes and her mother informed us, “Arna will be seen as a naïve but talkative girl who would be cheerful only till Laado is not around. My daughter has earlier done Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se (Zee TV). She will also be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in his upcoming show Yudh for a small sequence.”

The show has some interesting developments in its new storyline.

Post the leap Tara (Chhavi Pandey) will be introduced as Sia in the show. She will be seen recovering after coming out from a five years long coma and will be held captive by Omkar (Ankur Nayyar) at his house. She will try her best to flee from him and reach her love Mrutyunjay (Viraf Patel), but will fail.

As reported earlier, Omkar and Sia will have some past connection.

On the other hand, Kalavati (Vishwajeet Pradhan) will be introduced in a completely new avatar as Laado and this will kick-start another journey of obstacles for Sia and Mrutyunjay with exciting twists and turns in the show.

As for Mrutyunjay, he will still be seen staying with Kalavati, who will make him believe that he is a born criminal, always indulging in evil and illegal activities. And Mrutyunjay, we hear, will blindly take this as a fact and will literally live the life of a dreaded criminal, courtesy the memory loss he will be suffering from.

We tried contacting Vishwajeet and Chhavi, but they remained unavailable for comment.

When we buzzed Viraf Patel, he said, “It would be interesting to see how the story unwinds and takes an interesting twist. I will not reveal the story as it is for the viewers to watch the edgy drama. But I can promise that Mrutyunjay will be seen in a very different avatar which will come as a surprise to the viewers.”

The beautiful television actress Gauri Tonk has mesmerized the audience through her enduring performance in shows such as Kahin Kissi Roz, Nach Baliye 2, Maa Exchange and episodic shows such as Crime Patrol.

Now that she ends her stint with Ek Boond Ishq on Life OK and takes up Crime Patrol as a part of the permanent team of cops, we speak to the enchanting actor about how she made a mark in the industry and about her aspirations as an actor.

Speaking about how she made her debut into acting, she claimed to have a very filmy story.

She said, “My family was very orthodox and I never stepped out of the locality where I lived. However, I once got an opportunity to come to Andheri as my friend requested me to accompany her for auditions. They asked me to fill in the form and suddenly there was an audition call where I was given a script to enact. I was extremely tense and could not perform. But they still called me, so I feel destiny had planned this path.”

Gauri Tonk who actively entertained the television audience was on a sabbatical post marriage (with Yash Tonk) and also during her maternity phase. Making a comeback after 9 years she gave credit to her daughter who encouraged her to be back with a bang.

Gauri averred, “My daughter asked me why was I not acting and I told her because I had to take care of her. I felt proud when she told me that she could take care of herself and all she wanted was to see me on television again. Talking about my fans, I met an elderly couple once who told me of how I should not be quitting the space, as actors have certain loyalties towards their fans too.”

While the charming actor claimed that Kahin Kissi Roz was a stepping stone which helped her boost her career, she had difficulty in bagging typecast roles.

The gorgeous actor added, “More than me having apprehensions, my looks do not fit into the conventional motherly roles. I personally love essaying emotional roles and I believe that is my forte but somehow it does not compliment my looks. Look at me in Ek Boond Ishq , I play a mother who is stylish and classy mothering two married sons. I like essaying different roles and hope that with the show ending I will get to essay more varied characters like my next, Crime Patrol where I essay a cop.”

Now that a lot of younger actors are taking a plunge from films to television we asked Gauri her viewpoint on quitting television completely for Bollywood.

Gauri stated, “I say, everyone should do what they feel like; so there are no regrets later that they did not try. I personally would love to essay a romantic character as I am a die-hard romantic in real life. In fact, I want to be a Bollywood heroine!”

Bidding us adieu the actor left a message to her fans. “Work hard, be patient and keep your goals high. It is important to have a positive approach to life and keep smiling.”

As Ek Boond Ishq completes its 200 episodes today, it seems that the makers (BBC Worldwide) of the show have sworn to deliver some fresh thrilling and mysterious tracks in the coming days. Here’s more info.

While Viraf Patel, Hunar Hali, Vishwajeet Pradhan and Chhavi Pandey will be retained in the show post the leap, the supporting cast will be seeing an end adding some interesting twist in the show.

While the viewers have been watching Nandini (Hunar Hali) plan a conspiracy to kill Meethi’s (Nidhi Uttam) child in the show, Kalavati (Vishwajeet Pradhan) will learn about this and will show her (Nandini) the door prior to the leap.

Also, Nirmala (Gauri Tonk) will learn about the evil intentions of Kalavati and she will end up getting stabbed by the vicious Kalavati.

Cuts in a source, “The reason Nirmala would be killed because all the characters will age post leap and Gauri Tonk did not want to be seen elderly on screen. Hence the creatives decided to kill her character.”

Now post the jump, Kalavati’s truth will come out in the open to the members of the Shekhawat family. Meethi will give birth to a baby girl and Kalavati will be seen blackmailing the family members. She would threaten to kill the child if the truth gets exposed. But Kalavati staying true to her nature will kill all the family members and make a run for her life while Tara (Chhavi Pandey) and Mrutyunjay (Viraf Patel) would follow her to save the baby.

There are great complexities involving Mrutyunjay’s true identity in Life OK’s Ek Boond Ishq (BBC Worldwide). Tara (Chhavi Pandey) has confirmed to her family about Bablu being Mrutyunjay (Viraf Patel).

She also mentioned of hiding the reality till date from Jairaj Singh (Rakesh Kukreti) in order to unleash a criminal’s vicious intentions.

Now while the viewers know of Rudra Pratap (Vishwajeet Pradhan) having a hand behind all the criminal activities, it would be interesting to note whether Tara would take his name and finish the entire political drama created to destroy him.

But then the creatives of the show would like to make the story unpredictable.

The episode airing tonight will see some high intense moments as Tara will take the criminal’s name. While walking on the path of life, one will experience many twists and turns. And as they say, the only thing that is certain in life, is uncertainty.

As per reports from credible sources, Chhavi Pandey, the female lead of Life OK’s Ek Boond Ishq (BBC Worldwide Productions) was on her way out of the project. Reason? She was not keen on playing a mom after a leap sequence.

But better sense prevailed and after a mutual discussion between Chhavi and the creative team, the exit situation was salvaged, and as per latest reports received by us, the actress has decided to stay put.

“It’s true that I was apprehensive about continuing with the show when I was informed about the plot taking a leap and me mothering a five year old kid. Ek Boond Ishq is only eight months old and at the time when Mrutyunjay and Tara’s love story began to blossom, the creatives thought of taking a leap. I was not happy at all with the progress,” said Chhavi.

She was miffed with the production house’s sudden plan to turn things around conceptually.

“I had a word with the channel and after discussing and giving a lot of thought, I decided to stay on. I still stand by the fact that I am not happy with the leap and playing a mother. But me continuing with the show has some primary reasons to it…firstly, I am a very professional actor and Life OK has given me an opportunity to showcase my talent and has taken care of my comfort at all levels. I cannot back off from my responsibility when it comes to giving back to what the show and channel requires. They have supported me a lot to become what I am today. Secondly, I have a gained a lot of fan base in a short span of time who adore me as Tara. I should not disappoint them by quitting and getting the character replaced. I feel confident and inspired when my fans appreciate me.”

She continued: “Also, when I see a veteran actor like Vishwajeet Pradhan playing a transgender which is a tough challenge, I thought why can’t I accept essaying a mother a challenge and continue with the show? I would rather take up this challenge and prove my ability of how I can be a versatile actor. I just hope fans will support me in my new journey.”

The plot of Life OK’s Ek Boond Ishq (BBC Worldwide) is getting horrid, horrendous and gut-wrenching without a single drop of mercy.

Now that the entire family has come together in support of Mrutyunjay (Viraf Patel) and Tara (Chhavi Pandey) and are hell bent to reveal the truth of Rudra Pratap (Vishwajeet Pradhan), viewers will witness some dramatic moments.

As per the on-going track Mrutyunjay and Tara have plot a trap to bring the vicious activities of Kalavati (Vishwajeet Pradhan) to an end.

The current track focuses on how Mrutyunjay introduced himself to Rudra Pratap as Bablu, a look alike of the dead Mrutyunjay. Kalavati further planned a conspiracy of introducing Bablu to Jairaj Singh (Rakesh Kukreti) and the entire family as Mrutyunjay in order to over-take the Shekhawat property.

While Nandini (Hunar Hali) held her belief firm of Mrutyunjay being dead and tried to prove that the person in the house is Bablu and not Mrutyunjay there are some mind boggling episodes being planned by the creative to keep the fun and excitement going on.

The future episodes will now show how Nandini will over hear Mrutyunjay and Tara’s plan against Kalavati, thereby knowing the truth that Mrutyunjay was never dead the entire plan was made to trap Kalavati.

She will now go ahead to aid Rudra Pratap and inform him about the same. However, Rudra Pratap will not believe her.

Viraf suffers hairline fracture while shooting for Ek Boond Ishq

The hot and sexy, Viraf Patel who is the eye candy of many girls recently hurt himself while shooting for his showEk Boond Ishq (BBC Worldwide) on Life OK.

A source from the set informed us that a particular shooting sequence required Viraf to jump high up in the air after sustaining a bullet injury on his arm. The actor went ahead and shot for the same with immense passion and energy. However, the scene was not okayed in one shot and Viraf had to perform multiple retakes till the perfect shot was canned. In the bargain, he injured his toe due to continuous high intensity jumps which he had to perform for the shot. Unfortunately, the actor didn’t notice his injury and it is only later after completing the shoot that the searing pain emerging from toe made him realize that something is amiss.

Without further delay, Viraf rushed to his doctor who informed him that he had suffered from a hairline fracture.

When contacted Viraf confirmed the news, “Well, I was shooting without realizing that I had hurt myself. I visited the doctor and later learnt that I had suffered a hairline fracture. The doctor advised me to rest my toe for a week’s time. Now whenever I am required to walk, the director limits my scenes up to my mid-waist so that I am not seen limping on the show.”
