Small screen has time and again proved that no actor is bigger than a show. However, it is the amazing fan following of these stars that force the makers to bring back their favorite stars to play the most loved characters.

Making a comeback almost after a span of seven years is the beautiful Pallavi Kulkarni who is all set to mesmerize the television space through Ekta Kapoor’s latest presentation, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar.

Cast opposite Ronit Roy, we speak to the charming lady about her role in the show and her passion her period of sabbatical after her stint essaying lead roles in shows like Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, Kehta Hai Dil and Vaidehi.

Said Pallavi, “I got married 7 years back and decided to call it quits from the industry. I have a 2 year old baby boy and was enjoying my martial phase. However, in the years I worked in the industry, I always wanted to be a part of a show by Balaji Telefilms. Also working with a learned actor like Ronit Roy is always a pleasure as he makes sure all the scenes come out well. Working with him is beneficial for his actors and also the show.”

When asked about essaying a strong single mother in the show the gracious lady averred, “Apart from playing a strong single mother I think the role is extremely challenging. It showcases the journey of a single mother and her life she has led so far with emotions bottled up inside her which she cannot express. I find my role challenging and satisfying.”

In the midst of out chat with Pallavi, she did mention about how keen the production house was on getting her on board!

A surprised and elated Pallavi stated, “Working with EKta Kapoor has always been my dream and I have made a comeback only because of this.  When the production house approached me I was apprehensive about taking up the show but then when they scheduled my work hours in a way I could be with my baby too, I took up the show. They assured me all would be taken care off. Also my family is extremely supportive. I don’t think my baby misses me as much as I do.”

Hmm…lucky lady we say!

Speaking about the concept of the show Pallavi claimed that it is really important to be happy whether married or not.

She elaborated, “I believe in the institution of marriage. Relationships cannot go dead. I feel they are always alive in some part of your heart and hence the can be reconciled. However, if they can’t then it is important to live happily in whichever space of life they are destined to live in.”
